Subjects Taught English

Education
Hello, my name is Natalie Clayton. I have taught at DCAC since 2014.. I was also a student of DeSoto County Schools, and I graduated from Southaven High School in 2006. After high school, I attended Northwest Mississippi Community College and the University of Mississippi receiving my bachelor’s degree in English and German (Magna Cum Laude). I was also very lucky and got to spend 14 months abroad studying German and Literature at the Universität Osnabrück in Osnabrück, Germany through Ole Miss’s Study Abroad program.

Experience
Teaching has been such a blessing to me, and I absolutely adore my students and love getting to interact with them one-on-one so much more than other schools because of our smaller size at DCAC. I currently teach English for 7th, 9th, and 11th grade, but I strive to teach them more than just English and Language Arts every day in my classroom. I hope to teach them valuable life skills and how to be successful in school and outside of school in social settings. I love teaching here because I work with a wonderful team of co-workers who genuinely care about our students and who want to see them achieve their best in school and in life.
