About Mrs. Moore

Hi. My name is Melissa Moore.  I graduated from Southaven High School in 1994. I then attended and graduated from the University of Memphis in 1999.  I began teaching 5th grade Language Arts at Southaven Elementary and taught there for 8 years. I then taught 6th grade ELA at DeSoto Central Middle School for 15 years. 

My family is very important to me.  My husband, Macon, is the Southaven Police Chief. We have two children. Our daughter, Emma, is 21 and is about to begin her senior year at Ole Miss. Our son, Eli, is 17 and is in 11th grade at DCHS. We attend church at Getwell Church.
